I have tried several times to register Swenyar’s Find on Top Web Comics. It won’t let me register. I have tried sending emails but I am not getting any response. I give up.

Steve Kunz has done two beautiful fan pieces, one image of Swenyar and another of Clel.  Please go check them out on my Fan page. Also check out Steve’s page.  http://steven-kunz.deviantart.com/

I was reading an article recently on Gerard Way lead vocals for Chemical Romance. http://www.mychemicalromance.com/ . Before he worked with Chemical Romance he worked as an artist and a Animator in New York. In his interview he talked about being a failed artist. He left art to go into music. I don’t believe there is any such thing as a failed artist. How do you weigh being an artist? Do you weigh it by the money you make as an artist or do weigh it by the impact that you made on someone with your work? Or do you weigh it by how many people know who you are? Vincent van Gogh a French Impressionist and one of the most well known artists in the world died having sold one work and believing that he was failure as an artist. This goes to prove that only time will tell. As an artist, success can not be measured in our life times.

Times have changed since Van Gogh, the internet has given artists a chance to share work with a larger audience then we could have when there was no computers. All artists could do was sell there work in galleries. I am able to reach 56,000 hits a month. Is this how I should measure success? I am happy that so many come to my site but there are other sites that get 100,000 hits a month should I measure myself to them? I guess it comes down to the why I am working as an artist and how I would measure myself. I would be happy if I was able to inspire others with my work. As for the money I am a Transportation Logistic Specialist. I can’t combine them they are separate. I am proud of both sides of my life.

None of us are going to leave this earth alive maybe artists are simply trying to leave a piece of them selves behind to be remembered. Or maybe we are trying to say something in our work. I think it is different for every artist. As for Gerald Way in his interview he talked about a comic that he was working on. How can he say he is a failed artist as long as he is still breathing and still creating art.
