I was looking at my Animerica and New Type Magazines last night and I was amazed at the variety the Anime Industry has to offer. There is so much to choose from. Magazines like Animerica are a great resource when you are just getting into the anime scene and even if you have been an Anime fan for a long time. These magazines are great for learning about the new anime and manga that are coming out. I like to research an anime or manga before I actually buy it. Sometimes I am a little overwhelmed by how much there is out there. Now-a-days Anime and Manga come out of Japan a lot quicker then they have in the past. There has also be an explosion on-line Manga available for your entertainment. There is so much to choose from where do you start? On-line Manga artist Fred Gallagher was recognized by Animerica. I was so excited I bought several issues so I could pass them out to the family (Mom and Dad and others). I have to say I am very proud of him. I don’t think I will ever be as good as my brother. Fred tells me I have my own style and there is nothing wrong with that. His support and motivation are part of the reason I am as far as I am. Maybe someday magazines like Animerica will have a section for reviewing on-line manga’s. Someday, we will have the opportunity to advertise our work in their magazines. The Magazines may argue that their magazine focuses on Japanese Anime and there is no room for on-line manga artist. I realize not all of us are from Japan, however on-line manga artist are inspired by the anime manga from Japan. The anime and on-line manga scene has created not only a fandom world of fan art and fan fic’s but an underground art world of on-line artists.
